Defining the Problem

• The tutor booking user map has 5 screens but users may lose interest after 3. To maintain engagement, we need to simplify the user journey by condensing each screen's information and streamlining the flow.

• The UI lacks consistency and feels outdated. The profile screen requires excessive scrolling and the user description is cramped. Changing the date and time is challenging. The design is inefficient, cluttered, and not user-friendly. It needs better visual contrast and to prioritize user needs.

• Improve content structure for better navigation. Ensure clear layout in background, qualifications, and details sections. Make important info, like the hourly rate, easily accessible. Placing it at the bottom may result in missed transactions.

The tutor listing on the platform is designed to be concise yet informative. Each listing features a photo, rating, and hourly rate, giving users a snapshot of the tutor's qualifications at a glance. However, it is worth noting that the significance of tutor reviews cannot be underestimated. These reviews provide valuable insights into a tutor's teaching style, effectiveness, and overall reputation, making them almost as crucial as the background information itself. While the platform may not be as extensive as popular services like Doctor on Demand or Yelp, it compensates for it with an easy-to-use and interactive interface that allows users to seamlessly check tutor availability and schedule appointments.

In the brainstorming session, I aimed to:

• Make users stay interested by reducing screen numbers.

• Arrange information to highlight its importance.

• Simplify tutor booking by creating an easy-to-use date and time system.

• Improve profile organization by using tabs for different sections.

Instead of long scrolling, I wanted to organize the content into clear sections for users.

Final Design

To enhance the user experience, I applied a streamlined approach to the design, ensuring that users can effortlessly navigate and locate their desired information. By simplifying the screens, I eliminated any unnecessary elements, ensuring a clean and intuitive interface. Upon launching the app, users are greeted with a concise yet comprehensive list of math tutors, allowing them to quickly browse through the available options. Upon tapping on a tutor, a detailed profile is conveniently displayed, presenting all the relevant information to make an informed decision. The booking process is also made effortless, as users can easily select their preferred date and time from a neatly arranged interface at the bottom of the screen. Lastly, a reassuring confirmation screen provides users with the satisfaction of successfully completing their booking. This meticulous attention to detail in the design encourages a seamless and efficient interaction between users and the app's functionalities.

Tutors Listing
The screen was improved with brighter colors and clearer organization. In the previous design, the tutor's location was not specific enough, leaving users unsure about their proximity. The redesigned version provides a more precise location measurement for the tutors.

Tutor Profile Screen
The next screen continues the same information as before, including the tutor's rate, location, and user rating. The tutor's information is now better organized, and the redesign also includes user reviews and a more user-friendly interface for booking appointments. The footer stays in place as you scroll, so you can always search for a date and time. The schedule appears as a pop-up, allowing users to easily see when tutors are available.
